Feathery purple clouds spread across the blue-grey sky about 25 minutes after sunrise on February 17, 2021. We can see the sun trying to break through behind orange clouds above the horizon I took the photograph from my balcony window in Alexandria, Virginia. The roof of my balcony impinged on this wide-angle view more than I liked. I altered the parallax and dropped the image to create the scene I wanted to convey.
